OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD.

An enthusiastic team, drawn mainly from the Craft Group, gives a great deal of time and imagination to filling Christmas shoeboxes for children in hospitals, orphanages, refugee camps, homeless shelters and impoverished neighbourhoods in Romania, Hungary, Belarus to name only a few of the countries to which over one million boxes of Christmas gifts were sent from the U.K. last year.

A special thank you is due this year for donations of gifts, time and money. Items needed included toothpaste & toothbrushes, shorthand-style notebooks (they fit neatly into the boxes) and sweets (but no chocolate due to customs regulations in some of the countries to which the boxes go).

The world's largest shipping companies would find it daunting to collect, process, transport and deliver gift-filled shoeboxes to so many children for just £2 per box. Samaritan's Purse is able to do this thanks to the many who pray, volunteer and give gifts.

Thank you again to all those who have contributed to this project in the past. Thank you for your contributions and prayers for the safety of those delivering Christmas boxes to the war-torn countries of Europe.

Choir

Friday Evenings 7.45 - 9.15pm 1st Friday of every month
Norda Barber is the Choir Leader. The choir is a mixture of age groups and meets on the first Friday of each month to practise. We sing an introit most weeks at the morning service, in three or four parts, with the aim to help draw people into worship. Most of the introits are modern praise songs and we are encouraged now to have several teenagers singing with us. We also take part in the occasional concert alongside other musicians in the church and we are fortunate to have John Longley as our accompanist.
